NatCroMo Day 16

Over halfway through the month already and that blows me away. Spring is nearly upon us, though you couldn’t tell it around here. Although, I will say that here in KinnicLand, the sun is shining brightly today and I’m hoping we have seen the last of the snow for this winter, regardless of what the forecast says!

I’m still recovering from my slip and slide down the sidewalk a couple of days ago, so I haven’t been dancing on the ceiling or climbing any mountains of late, but instead I’ve relaxed and napped and put hook to yarn for a few minutes at a time when I can stay awake and worked a couple more rows on Confetti 2. I’ve also made the transition to a new blog reader since Google’s announcement that they are getting rid of their reader soon. First I tried out NetVibes because for a short time a few years ago I had already played around an account there. It had far more than what I needed back then and to be honest, I found trying to get the large list of blogs that I follow loaded there rather counter-intuitive. It could have gone better. So then I tried Feedly. Wow was that easy and seamless! No brainer. I’m now a Feedly user.

And now I’m off to read Day 16 of the Crochet Tour! I’ve found this such a great event. I’ve met some great designers, found some fabulous new patterns to add to my favorites/queue, learned a few things along the way, and become inspired about crochet all over again.

This may be my Year of Knitting but my hand/thumb/wrist has sincerely had some great resting time now and in April I’ll be able to do a little knitting again and get back to it fully healed and all the more grateful to be able to do both.

    1. It’s a thing of the past, but you know? We crafters need to learn to NOT use our hands to break our falls!

I love comments!
